This organization actually realizes and promotes the value of SHARING information to foster innovation and investment in the Geomatics industry. This is in direct contrast to most other government entities that use our tax dollars to collect and compile the data and then turn around and sell it back to us at an absurd price. Then to add insult to injury, they want a cut of any income you may generate by selling a map that may have some of what they consider “their” data on it
